3/28/2011 V&A Congratulates ‘Women’s Opportunity Week’ Winners
One of the lasting impacts of Brenda Vickrey Johnson’s 2007 chairmanship of The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce was her creation of The Chamber’s Women's Opportunity Week. The Chamber’s third Women’s Opportunity Week took place March 28 to April 1, 2011, and featured a weeklong celebration of women leaders who are making a difference in San Antonio. The week was capped off with a luncheon Wednesday, March 30, honoring individuals who embody leadership qualities which have driven not only their personal success, but also the success of those around them.The award luncheon highlighted seven of San Antonio’s most influential women, and included a special presentation of the Brenda Vickrey Johnson Award, which was created in 2009 to honor small business owners who have had a significant impact on the San Antonio community.
